Reverend Emma Stonham

Rev Emma Graeme

Co-opt Governor

I was delighted to be asked to join the Governing Body at Upper Beeding Primary School as a Co-Opted Governor, not only because I have worked for many years in the school environment but also because as a mother of two boys I am passionate about the education that our children receive, particularly when they are young. I am very happy to be associated with such an outstanding school and committed to using my own experience and expertise to help Mrs Linford and the staff to maintain such a high level of achievement.

I have lived for most of my life in Sussex, so although I have only been in Upper Beeding for a few months, I know the area well.

I have a background in finance and while my two children were young I worked as a School Business and Estate Manager until 2010 when I began my theological training at Ripon College, Cuddesdon, just outside Oxford. I am now the Rector of the parish of Beeding and Bramber with Botolphs, a role which involves me in the life of the local community on many different levels.

I have a black Labrador called Oscar who lives with me in the Rectory and I can occasionally be seen chasing him around the village or by the river. Given half a chance he likes to visit other people’s kitchens in the hope that they might have food in them!
