KS1 trip to the seaside

1st July 2019

As part of our seaside topic KS1 visited Brighton and Hove Lagoon to experience what an old fashioned seaside trip might be like. This trip also linked to our geography focus comparing a seaside location with our own rural village.

We spotted all the sights that we had been learning about, the I360, the Palace Pier, the Volks Railway, The Brighton Zip Wire, and many more.

We loved the trip, and enjoyed riding the carousel, promenading on the pier and having a ride on the Volks Railway before cooling off with yummy ice cream.

The afternoon was spent at Hove Lagoon, making beach sculptures on the beach, visiting local author Cathy Watts in her beach hut, and enjoying a play in the park.

A lovely day was had by all!
